Quilting Rates and Information

Edge-to-edge longarm quilting services start at $0.022 per square inch. Custom services start at $0.032 per square inch.

The quilt backing and batting need to be 8" larger than the quilt top

For example, a 40" x 60" quilt would need backing and batting that is 48" x 68".

Do not over starch the backing fabric. If using 108" wide backing, please tear (not cut) the fabric.

If piecing the backing, please use a half-inch seam from inside the selvedge, press open, and remove the selvedge from the seam.  The selvedge only needs to be removed if its in the seam.

Thread is included unless specialty thread is requested.

Piecing backs - $10 per seam

Other work - $30 per hour

$50 minimum charge

Other charges and services may include ironing (starting at $15),  embroidered quilt labels (starting at

$10), and binding (creating, machine attaching, and machine or hand finishing).

 

Batting is available for purchase: Warm & Natural cotton batting is $12.50/yard and Warm & White is $14.50/yard.

Wide backing fabrics are also available. Availability and designs may vary.
